Postgraduate students and post-docs are encouraged to give a 15 min talk followed by 5 min discussion.

Registration Fee

The workshop registration fee is 50 Euro for participants from developed countries and 20 Euro for Central and Eastern Europeans. The fee must be paid upon arrival at the registration. It covers the abstract booklets and the coffee breaks.

Financial support:

Partial support for travel and accommodation fees will be available to Eastern/Central European students (see the registration form).

There are many hotels and hostels in Cluj Napoca. However, we encourage participants to make reservations in the following comfortable and cheap hotels:

Meal

Lunch and dinner will be hosted in a restaurant situated near the conference building. One meal will cost ~ 3 EURO.

Arriving

Cluj Napoca is the centre of Transylvania which can be reached by car, train and plain. There are daily trains from Bucharest and from Budapest, Hungary, as well as daily airplanes from many European cities, like: Bucuresti, Budapest, Roma, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris.

Post-congress excursion

After the meeting, on 25 January we will organize a one day excursion to visit the Salina Turda, one of the most important salt mines in Transylvania, which is known since the Roman period, the Turda Gorge, a 1.5 km long natural reserve with a unique landscape dominated by the up to 300 m high walls, and the Rimetea village, a UNESCO world heritage settlement. The excursion will be covered separately by each-participant, the estimated cost is 10-20 Euro.
